AltcoinNews MORE HARD FORK OF THE BTC? Here comes the BITCOIN SILVER! written by btcgpu October 27, 2017 Increasingly brokers have withdrawn their support for the SegWit2x and it seems that there is a new fork coming. This time is the Bitcoin Silver. Another Decentralisation The development team of the Bitcoin Silver announced through the Bitcointalk Forum who want to “make the Bitcoin decentralized again.” The mission of the Bitcoin Silver is a return to the idealistic vision of Satoshi Nakamoto: “A CPU, one vote”, which are being distorted lately. A small group of miners and institutions is capable of pressing or discriminating against others (for example, preventing access to the equipment). To return to the complete decentralization, the team plans to change the algorithm for proof of work SHA256 for the Equihash (the same as the Bitcoin Gold). Because of this, equipment focused on SHA256 will not be efficient. The Btsi will offer a new chance for novice users to participate globally in mining of criptomoedas, through common equipment produced by joint ventures. A decentralized and democratic vision of mining infrastructure is more consistent with the ideas of Sena. What BITCOIN SILVER WANT TO BE? The new algorithm will be implemented in December. So that the block specific to the fork is mined, the fork will happen and people will begin to mine the BTSI based on Equihash. This will generate another division in the BTC. The Btsi will share the history of transactions with the BTC until a given block, and after iso, will separate into a different currency. The distribution of the BTSI will happen in the same way that with the Bitcoin Gold and the Bitcoin Cash. People who have possession of their private keys from BTC in December will receive an equivalent amount in the Bitcoin Silver.
